PalmerBet Online Betting Site Review
Being one of the smaller independent online bookmakers PalmerBet have done a good job in making their site neat and tidy. It's a little basic but does the job and the navigation settings work well enough. Palmerbet have elected to bypass a Main Menu across the top which I do find strange as you really have to go searching for what your looking for.
The left hand sidebar is split up into four menu's, the first has quick links to the current Promotions, Live Betting, Multi's and PalmerBet's version of a Black Book. When you click through to the promotions page you will see that they have doubled up on the promotional information. The right hand sidebar that you see throughout the site is basically a duplicated menu of what you see here. You almost get the feeling that PalmerBet are just page filling.
The Racing section is most prominent in the left sidebar displaying the next five races and then a link to all the days racing. When you click through to the days scheduled races you will see how basic Palmerbet have kept things. There are certainly no bells and whistles on their desktop site.
The large Sports menu is the last to be displayed set out in a drop down menu style. They do have most things covered but again they have kept it basic. If you click on the All Sports tab you have to then click through the secondary menu and expand your search which is rather annoying.
PalmerBet have a few offers shown in their centre console and below the banners they have another few modules displaying a few of the Upcoming Markets. It's strange that they have included the Next Five Races again down the bottom of the screen ans they already have it situated in the left sidebar.
PalmerBet Form Guide Review
One of the biggest downsides to the PalmerBet form guide is the page navigates away from the one your looking to place a bet on and opens up another page with the form, most online betting sites now use drop down boxes. The guide is basic but they include all the standard stats with the trainer, jockey, age, breeding, last six races, career starts, track and distance and ground stats. They also include first and second up form after a spell with a comment on how the horse ran in its last outing. Unfortunately PalmerBet do not have any form for harness racing.
PalmerBet Mobile App Review
PalmerBet's mobile app is pretty good as you would expect being a relatively new betting site they would have had their mobile app built with all the bells and whistles included without the need to upgrade. PalmerBet's mobile app is structures pretty well and is one of my favourites because it is so so easy to use.
PalmerBet Customer Service Review
PalmerBet need to improve in this section. Emails are answered slower than you would like and they do not have a live chat facility which is a must in this day and age to keep pace with the big boys. PalmerBet's help section is also pretty basic compared to most websites. Their phone line is only open Mon-Sat 8AM-6PM which isn't good enough as most online bookmaker now offer phone support seven days a week.
PalmerBet Promotions and Bonus Bets
PalmerBet do run several promotions but to be honest they are not the best. PalmerBet run the standard industry features and they could well take a look at what some of the bigger sports betting sites are doing and try to compete with fresh ideas of their own.
A pick of the best below.
Money Back 2nd Or 3rd Saturdays - On a selected race each Saturday PalmerBet will refund you stake up to $50 if your horse runs in the minor placings.
Fill Your Socks Friday - NRL special, if your teams is leading up to the 60 minute mark and goes on to lose PalmerBet will refund your stake up to $100.
Monday Madness - Refunded losing bets up to $100 if you place a first try scorer bet on the NRL Monday night game and your player scores a try during the game but not the first.
PalmerBet Feature Products
PalmerBet offer many feature products to punters, some of the best are highlighted below.
Racing and Sports Blog - PalmerBet have set up their very own blog full of previews, tips and much more.
Bet Book - Never miss a runner again with the PalmerBet Bet Book, save eyecatching runners and previous bets.
PalmerBet Review - Summary
PalmerBet overall does what it says on the tin, you know PalmerBet are a smaller operator if you have done your homework so you can't expect their betting site to be all singing and dancing although I must add that the PalmerBet mobile app is on a par with most mobile betting apps if you like betting on the go.
There are definately worse betting platforms out there than PalmerBet but there are much better if you are a punter who spends a fair bit of time looking for value and functionality so PalmerBet for a more experienced punter it's probably only a bonus filler as this is one area they do excel in due to their three tiered structure to suit all levels.
