Arsenal v Liverpool

Both teams come into this one challenging for the last Champions League place and this result may well have a bearing on who will grab the last spot with the top three now starting to pull away. Arsenal managed to scrape a draw in their last match away at Southampton with Giroud scoring a late equaliser to take a point from a tough match. Arsene Wenger's men have been stuttering of late with only one win in their last four outings and things do not look easier here but they have the pedigree when they get things right.

Liverpool on the other hand come into this undefeated in their last six but they will be ruing missed opportunities in recent weeks after two home draws against Everton and West Brom respectively. Jurgen Klopp's side easily brushed aside Bournemouth 4-0 in their last match and in a display not for the first time this season showed how much of a force they can be. Consistency is Liverpool's achilles heal once again this season but on their day they can brush aside any team in the league.

Prediction - If Liverpool can reproduce the performance of last week they look very juicy odds against a Gunners team that is starting to splutter a little but there are not many teams that go the the Emirates Stadium and bring home the bacon so I think the likely outcome will be a draw in a cagey match.

Tip - Draw $3.6 (Best Bet) - Score 1-1 $7.5

Everton v Chelsea

With Sam Allardyce at the helm Everton are now starting sto show a bit of form and they are quickly rising up the table thanks to a haul of thirteen points from their last five games, Everton now sit in 9th and they will now look to push on through the busy Christmas period and claw more ground back on the teams above them. With the revitalised Wayne Rooney steering them in the right direction they may well keep on improving with their expensive summer signings now coming to the fore.

Chelsea come here off the back of four wins from their last five with only the 1-0 defeat away at West Ham blotting their recent form but they are still not showing the form on the field that took them to the title last season. Last weeks 1-0 victory at home to Southampton was less than impressive, they did hold the majority of possession throughout the game but lacked the clinical final pass or that bit of magic that we are so used to seeing from the boys in blue.

Prediction - Everton are a team that now look like they are moving in the right direction and with home ground advantage they will certainly think they can give Chelsea a real test here. It should be a tight game with few clear cut chances and a draw may well be the bet bet.

Tip - Draw $3.75 - Score 0-0 $10

Stoke v West Brom

Both these teams have been struggling of late and both find themselves in the bottom four and set for a relegation scrap until the end of the season. Stoke have lost five of their last six fixtures and now find themselves only one point outside the bottom three and they will need to get back to winning ways soon if they are to avoid the drop and in games like these they will see this as an opportunity to take three points from a fellow struggler especially having home advantage.

West Brom with their new manager Alan Pardew are showing signs that they can turn things around after a dismal run that has seen then slip into the relegation zone, although they lost 2-1 at home to Man Utd last week they showed plenty of fight and that will stand them in good stead in the coming weeks as the fixtures come thick and fast.

Prediction - It is hard to tip any of these teams with confidence so I will plump for the home team in the hope that the crowd can get behind them and inspire them to a much needed victory.

Tip - Stoke $2.2 - Score 2-1 $9.5

Brighton v Watford

Brighton after a good start to the season have now hit a bit of a rough patch claiming only two points out of their last six games and this lack of recent form has seen then slip down the table and only three points of the relegation zone. After three straight losses Brighton could only manage a 0-0 draw at home to Burnley last week so they will be hoping to go one better here in front of their home crowd once again. No goals in their last three outings will be a big worry for their fans and will hope for better fortunes this week.

Watford find themselves in a similar position coming into this fixture having lost their last three games and more importantly against teams that they would hope to be beating if they are to finish in the top half of the table this season. Last weeks home performance against Huddersfield was well below par and they will have to bounce back if they are to get anything here.

Prediction - Again one of those games that there is little form to go on so the sensible option is to plump for the home win but you could go the draw too if you fancy a bit of extra value.

Tip - Brighton $2.63 - Score 2-0 $12

Man City v Bournemouth

Man City are not only eleven points clear at the top of the table before Christmas but they are also breaking records along the way after cruising past one of their presumed title challengers Spurs last week with an emphatic 4-1 home win taking their tally of consecutive win to 16. Pep Guardiola's men are now showing us the passing and movement we were expecting last season and in this form they are almost unplayable.

Bournemouth are another team in a slump having only taken three points from their last six matches and unfortunately for them they come up against a City team here who will push them from the off. They will have to be tight in defence and counter attack when able but as recent form suggests it may well be another drumming here.

Prediction - This on paper can only go one way with a City win expected with plenty of goals but as they say football is a funny old game at times and you never really know what's going to unfold.

Tip - Man City $1.1 - Score 3-0 $7

Swansea v Crystal Palace

Four losses from their last five games sees Swansea rooted to the foot of the table and staring relegation in the face come the end of the season. After a much needed victory at home to West Brom they have shipped seven goals in their last two outings all though they did run up against two in form teams in Man City and Everton, this is easier and they are at home and this is another of the old six pointers we talk about.

Crystal Palace after not being able to hit a barn door at the start of the season have finally found their shooting boots and have put together a good run and are undefeated in their last six picking up twelve points in the process. Roy Hodgson's men are now sitting rather more comfortably in 14th place and they will feel this is another great opportunity to take three more valuable points against a struggling side.

Prediction - I think this will be tight with limited chances and Palace won't mind coming away with a point so the draw looks a solid bet.

Tip - Draw $3.0 - Score 1-1 $6

Southampton v Huddersfield

The Saints are another team in a bit of a slump at the moment after a decent start to the campaign and no win in five has seen them slip down the table and back in the dogfight at the bottom. Southampton kept Chelsea at bay for most of the game last week but didn't create much in their 1-0 away loss. They will need to reproduce some of their early season form here if they are to get back to winning ways.

Huddersfield have won two of their last three and will most likely be happy with the way their first premier league campaign has gone so far, crucial wins against fellow minnows Watford and Brighton in recent weeks will have given them the confidence they need to keep alive their dream of playing in the top division.

Prediction - Southampton on their day are a good passing side and they showed signs of improvement last week against Chelsea so i am going to take them for the win in the hope they come on a bit more.

Tip - Southampton $1.57 - Score 2-0 $6.5

Burnley v Tottenham

Burnley are sitting pretty six in the table and well on their way to that golden 40 point safety barrier after already amassing 32 points this season. Two solid home wins were followed up by a griding 0-0 draw away last week and although they are up against a good team here they have already shown this season that they are fazed by nobody and expect to give each team a game week in week out.

Tottenham come here after a spanking at the hands of Man City and they will be looking to steady the ship here and get back into the champions league race. No goals for their talisman Harry Kane in his last two outings so expect him to make a point here.

Prediction - Spurs will come here with teeth gritted and will not want to slip any further behind the pack above them so I think they will play attacking football and this game could be a cracker, Spurs win for me but if Burnley manage to get in front it could be a different story.

Tip - Tottenham $1.53 - Score 1-3 $13

Leicester v Man Utd

Leicester good run of four straight wins came to an end last week after they were surprisingly brushed aside at home all be it to an in form Palace side. They will not want to lose two on the bounce and will set their stall out to play containing football here with the hope of a few good chances that they will have to take.

Man Utd have won five of their last six but the one that they would have wanted to take three points from they lost against league leaders Man City. All's you can do as a team is keep winning and hope the ones above you slip up and that is the position they now find themselves in for the rest of the season. Lukaku has started finding the back of the net again which is a good sign and they are due a bag of goals after some missed opportunities.

Prediction - Away win here for me and at a good price too.

Tip - Man Utd $1.8 - Score 0-2 $8.5
